A Royal Doulton ‘Captain Bligh’ D.6967 toby jug with a certificate of authenticity. The jug features a bust of Captain William Bligh, an eighteenth-century British Royal Navy officer who is best remembered for the mutiny that occurred on his ship, the Bounty. The jug was Character Jug of the Year in 1995. It was hand made and hand decorated and was modelled by Stanley James Taylor.
