Pair of Watercolor Paintings Signed Ed Gifford

A selection of two signed original hand pulled etchings with watercolor by Ohio artist Ed Gifford (1927-1998). Gifford is known for his landscape, townscape and churches and is a member of the American Artists Professional League and the WPA Painter’s Society.‘The Dinner Bell’ depicts Amish children, two boys and a girl, playing on a seesaw on their farm. It also has a stained design on the matting of an Amish family. ‘The Letter for Mom’ depicts an Amish mail carrier delivering a letter to a girl on a farm. There is a stained design on the matting of a horse and buggy. Both pieces are pencil signed and titled to the lower section and labeled to verso. Presented in beige double mat in wood and glass plated frames.
