A Royal Doulton ‘Scaramouche’ D.6814 toby jug. The jug features the bust of scaramouche, a stock character of Italian comedy and puppetry. The bust is wearing a feathered hat, and the handle is decorated with theatre masks. The jug was modelled by Stanley James Taylor. It was hand-made and hand-decorated.
