Louis XVI Style Cabinet

A Louis XVI style mahogany wall cabinet with a serpentine top and carved wood frame gallery. This magnificent cabinet has a large center door adorned with an oversized painted circular medallion depicting a pair of courting lovers in late eighteenth century French dress. The cabinet has two drawers embellished with a painted panel frieze reminiscent of the period. The panels and medallion are accented with carved gilded frames and painted cherubs to the corners. There are two turned columns with gilded corinthian capitals to either side of the door. The cabinet sits on four round tapered feet.
