International Sterling "Wedgwood" Pedestal Salt and Pepper Shakers
Item Details
A pair of sterling silver salt and pepper castors by the International Silver Company (established 1898, Meriden, CT) in their Wedgewood pattern, first introduced in 1924 and designed by Alfred G. Kintz. This matching pair feature a small top finial above a tall domed lid with star shaped piercings, that flares to a wide shoulder above a tapered body and a flared stepped foot. Across the top of the body is a decorative band of classical motifs includes urns in medallions and bands of acanthus and wave scroll work. The total approximate weight is 4.23 ozt.
