Collection of Three Rajasthani Kathputli Marionette Puppets

A collection of three Rajasthani kathputli marionette puppets with wooden faces. Kathputli is an ancient form of puppet theater popular in the north-western Indian state of Rajasthan. Two of the puppets are wearing orange outfits with floral decoration and one puppet is wearing a pink dress with gold tone floral decorations. All three puppets feature metallic-tone accents and painted wooden faces. The male figure appears to be playing an instrument which he has raised to his mouth.
Condition
- fabric has loose threads throughout. Fabric is torn near head of doll wearing pink dress.

- measured grouped. Largest doll measures 5" W x 28" H.
