Original Charley Harper Limited Edition Foxsimilies Serigraph

Item Details

An original serigraph by well listed an thoroughly loved Cincinnati native artist, Charley Harper (1922 – 2007). This print is entitled ‘Foxsimilie’ and was issued in 1981, printed in a limited edition of 1500 in which it is number 435. This is a fabulous Harper print, extremely exemplary of the artist’s oeuvre, and intensely graphic. The print is composed of fox heads against a black circle, with a fabulous green background with blue patterned flowers. The print is presented in a wooden frame with gold edge, and a single dark brown mat to edge. The framing is shaky, literally taped backing to frame, and should likely be replaced.

Condition

The print is in fine condition but is wavy in the frame. The frame backing is literally taped to the frame and should be replaced if the print is to be responsibly preserved.
