A Japanese vintage hand-painted vase has a square shape with three sides depicting a narrative scene featuring a beautiful Japanese woman wearing an elaborate violet kimono. She is pictured again on another face in a Japanese garden among other women in colorful kimono with mountains in the background. Gold tone moriage details further embellish their kimonos. The decorative cartouches are surrounded by a dark navy color, the top of the vase is covered by layers of falling cherry blossom petals pattern. This vase is marked in Japanese on the underside.
