Mid-Century Modern Pedestal 'Tulip' Table by Burke and One Chair

A mid-century pedestal ‘Tulip’ table by Burke. Original design by architect Eero Saarinen in mid 1950s for the Knoll company of New York City. Considered a classic of industrial design it won numerous awards with its modern sensibility in the use of curves and artificial materials. The tulip-styled chair has a Formica shell with gold-tone vinyl seat, on an ‘X’ metal base.
