Native American Style Rawhide Log Drum

A Native American style rawhide log drum. This floor drum features tightly stretched rawhide heads on each end of a traditional log body that appears to be walnut. These large floor drums are designed for several people to play at once. The drum has two rawhide carrying handles to one side, and is accompanied by two traditional style mallets. One mallet features fringe, wrapped, and horsehair accents and has a cloth covered tip. The second mallet is an unadorned wooden handle with a cloth-covered tip.
