Mail Pouch Tobacco Bird House and Feeder by Harley Warrick
Item Details
A Mail Pouch tobacco bird house and feeder by Harley Warrick. Harley Warrick (America, 1924 – 2000) was an American barn painter, best known for his work painting Mail Pouch tobacco advertising on barns across the midwest and mid Atlantic states. During his retirement, Warrick replicated the old Mail Pouch barns of the ‘30s and ‘40s on durable bird feeders and houses. Both items feature asphalt roof shingles over wood bases with colorfully painted replicas of his original full size works. The feeder features a hinged “roof” for ease of filling. The house features perches to either end and openings to the sides. Both pieces are signed “H. Warrick ’96”.
