John Gould Hand-Tinted Lithograph "Psittacella Brehmii"
Item Details
A hand-tinted lithograph titled Psittacella Brehmii by John Gould, from his book The Birds of New Guinea and Adjacent Islands. Gould was an ornithologist and bird artist all throughout the 19th century. Here he has depicted two tiger parrots on a branch with the text ‘Psittacella Brehmii, Rosenberg’ in the middle as well as ‘J. Gould & W Hart del et lith’ on the bottom left and ‘Walter Imp’ on the bottom right. The print has a dark green matting with gold-tone filet. The print is in a wooden frame with gold tone paint. Ready to hang via wire in the back.
