Early 20th Century French Brooch

A 18K yellow gold ruby diamond fairy brooch. This brooch features a gold fairy adorned with black, blue, and pink enamel, forty-two round brilliant cut diamonds measuring 1.40 mm – 2 mm with a clarity of SI1-I1, a color of H-I, and a total approximate carat weight of 0.88 ctw, and a single square cut heat treated natural ruby stone measuring 2 mm X 2 mm dangling above the fairy’s head. This brooch is attributed to the French designer Gaston Lafitte circa 1900. The total approximate weight of this brooch, including the stones, is 20.40 dwt.
