19th Century Women's Victorian Mourning Belt with Carved Jet Buckle
Item Details
A 19th century women’s Victorian era mourning belt with carved jet buckle. The buckle is comprised of black lignite or jet and features finely carved morning glory motif with triangular borders and stippled background detailing. The back of buckle is fitted with a brass hook and loop clasp attached to a wide black grosgrain belt. Unmarked by maker. Circa mid to late 19th century.
