An original acrylic painting on board by contemporary New England based landscape artist Julie L. Hickcox (Connecticut). The painting depicts a serene rural winter landscape, highlighting a small farmhouse, barn, and silo nestled at the bottom of a hill lined with evergreen trees and piles of fallen snow. Solvents have been added to the paint to create soft washes of color across the sky and shadowy snow piles. The painting is signed to the lower right and is presented in a wooden frame with a wire attached to the verso for hanging. Hickcox is as member of The Connecticut Watercolor Society, the Allied Artists of America, and the Hudson Valley Art Association. She is represented by Devon House Gallery in Stonington, CT.
