A signed and numbered limited edition lithograph titled, Bunch of Devil’s Looking Right Over My Brightest Clouds by visionary folk artist, poet, and musician, Reverend Howard Finster (American, 1916-2001), best known for his unique, outsider artwork that is often covered in Bible verses and other words. This piece of artwork depicts four men’s heads, who are each wearing a different colored hat in blue, orange, red, and brown, rolling across the page with trees, white mountains, tiny flying angels, and four large, red devil figures towering in the background. This print also features a verse written near the bottom in black on a green background with a yellow and brown flowered border surrounding the entire piece. The lithograph is pencil signed by the artist in the lower right corner with the edition number, ‘2/100’ also written in pencil in the lower left margin. This piece of artwork is displayed behind glass with a single black mat in a simple black frame. There is a wire for hanging to the verso.

Howard Finster was an American folk artist and Baptist minister from Georgia who is known as one of America’s most important creative personalities of this day in age. He was a self-taught artist with incredible talent who has often been called the “Picasso of folk artists” and has been featured in hundreds of exhibitions all over the country. Finster’s artwork is very unique, colorful, and detailed, often covering his pieces with words, especially Bible verses, making his artwork very hard to forget!
