Vari-Vue Batman and Robin Framed Flicker Ring Vending Machine Insert Circa 1966

A Vari-Vue Batman and Robin flicker ring vending machine insert, circa 1966, which is displayed behind glass in a simple black frame. This small card was created using lenticular printing, which produces images with an illusion of depth that allows the viewer to see different images when looking at it from various angles. The insert depicts a close up image of Batman and Robin and when moved, the insert features an advertisement for the Batman Ring Club, which includes twelve collectable rings in all. This piece was originally published by the National Periodical Publications Inc., which formed in 1961 when National Allied and Detective Comics merged. There is a wire for hanging to the verso.

Condition

- Very minor nicks and scratches to frame. – Each piece of artwork was immediately wrapped in plastic (after the photography and cataloging) for added protection.
