A signed silkscreen on canvas titled, Son of Heaven—John F. Kennedy circa 2013, by Cincinnati artist, Andrew VanSickle, best known for his unique pop art pieces. This piece of artwork features a mirrored black and white image of John F. Kennedy pointing up to the sky, which comes on a bright teal background with an orange and yellow Rorschach style design in the center. This print of JFK was originally taken just eight days before his assassination on November 22, 1963. The Nasa symbol is also printed in the corner with the artists initials ‘AVS’ in the middle. The print is hand signed by the artist to the verso, along with the title, date, and a random, abstract drawing, which Andrew includes on each of his pieces of artwork. There is a wire for hanging on the back as well.

This print was originally shown at Bromwell’s bar in Cincinnati.

Condition

- Canvas stretched around a rectangular wooden frame. Each piece of artwork was immediately wrapped in plastic (after the photography and cataloging) for added protection.
