Tony Dotson "Hunt" Signed Acrylic Painting on Wood

Item Details

A signed acrylic painting on a square wood board titled, Hunt circa 2003, by self-taught artist, Tony Dotson, best known for his simple, child-like pieces of artwork that have adult themes. This unique piece of artwork depicts several abstract figures including an orange bird standing next to a black, orange, and white skull with two similar black blobs resting above that have white eyes and mouths on a solid, army green background. The titled is written in parenthesis in the upper left margin with the artist’s signature in the lower right corner, which are both also written on the back with the date. There are two hooks for hanging to the verso as well.

Condition

- Each piece of artwork was immediately wrapped in plastic (after the photography and cataloging) for added protection.
