A pair of black armchairs in the Empire style. The piece features a straight top rail with an accented with a gold motif in the central panel. The back splat lowers to a mid-rail and accented with an X shaped splat. The stiles connect to the arm and has a painted central stripe. The arm supports are turned and lower to a gold tone rosette and accents the turned legs. The chair has caned seating and has custom seats created to make the pieces more comfortable. The chairs are unmarked by the manufacturer.
