Antique Victorian Eastlake Walnut Platform Rocker Chair

Item Details

An antique Victorian Eastlake platform rocking chair, circa late 1870s, comprised of walnut wood. It features a carved crown with incised accents and inlaid burled walnut panels. The chair is currently upholstered with a golden gros-point fabric, which is not original to the chair. It rocks on a wooden platform above metal bands which sits on ceramic casters. Metal base is embossed ‘A. Hentshel Pat. Pend Cinn O.’
