Richard Anuszkiewicz Limited Edition Serigraph "Sun Keyed"

An unsigned limited edition serigraph titled Sun Keyed by American Op Artist Richard Anuszkiewicz (b.1930), produced in 1972 for the Licht Editions Limited Edition Serigraph Calendar. The print depicts six bands with illusion created by alternating lines of orange and another different color for each band. This print is from an edition of 3000. There is a label affixed to the verso with title, artist name, and artist information. Presented behind acrylic glass in a gilt frame with a wire to the verso.
Anuszkiewicz was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art, Kent State University, and Yale University. He taught at Cooper Union and currently lives in New Jersey. His first solo show was at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio in 1955. He was a student of Josef Albers is most known for his vibrant colors and geometric shapes.
The calendar was offered to the members of the Museum of Modern Art and a few select galleries and consisted of 12 original serigraphs by 12 different contemporary international artists in the early Seventies. It was created in an edition of 3000 and spiral bound, each month has a different serigraph that can be easily framed.
