A signed, limited edition hand-colored lithograph by listed artist Jose Luis Rey-Vila (1900-1983). A group of jockeys sit perched upon their steeds, waiting to begin the race. Expressive lines and brush strokes create the magnificent bodies of the strong horses, while touches of bright color fill the jockeys’ uniforms. Signed in pencil and numbered 124/350 to lower right. Presented behind glass in a black painted frame with interior red border. Hanging wire present to verso.
Condition
- to fair. Accretion present under glass to lower right corner, and there appears to be water damage in that area as well.
