Kossowski Bronze Sculpture

A bronze sculpture titled Jonge herderin met schaap by listed Polish sculptor, Henryk Kossowski (1855 – 1921). Title translate to Young shepherdess with sheep. The sculpture features a young girl wearing a cape and holding a walking stick. A small lamb walks by her side. The sculpture rests on a marble plinth with a plaque reading ‘Compagnie des Bronzes Bruxelles’. The back of the statue includes an incised signature, ‘Kossowski.’ There are felt protective pads to the base.
