A signed, limited edition offset lithograph by world-renowned and beloved wildlife artist and conservationist John A. Ruthven (1924- ) titled Bengal Tiger. A strong, ferocious bengal tiger leaps across the field of view, teeth bared and claws outstretched. Ruthven, as usual, captures the magnificent power of the striped cat, outlining its massive muscle structure and beauty simultaneously. Signed in plate as well as in pencil to lower left, this print is numbered 569/1000 in pencil to lower right. This stunning piece has been mounted beneath dual layers of deep mauve and cream mats, and is presented under glass in a beveled wormy chestnut frame with dark, natural finish. Brackets for hanging wire present to verso.
