Alfred Gockel Seriolithograph "Rhythm in the Tropics"
Item Details
A seriolithograph reproduction of a painting by well-listed German artist Alfred Gockel (1952-), titled Rhythm in the Tropics. Seriolithographs are a unique type of print created by Park West Gallery in Michigan, combining both offset lithograph and serigraph printing methods. This particular is almost entirely an offset lithograph, with just a few serigraph accents to the piece’s dark black outlines. The print depicts a pair of human figures apparently ensnared in some sort of wild tropical time warp mambo as palm trees, fish, and musical instruments swirl around their forms. The artist’s signature is printed to the lower right. The piece is double-matted in black and white and is presented behind acrylic glass in a wooden frame with matte black finish and a hanging wire.
Condition
- a few very small scratches to frame, particularly to lower corners.
