Roll Top Desk in Philippine Narra Wood with Hand Carved Details
Item Details
A 20th century roll top desk in Philippine narra wood, having a tall, S-shaped tambour, sliding open to reveal a fitted interior with an arrangement of pigeonholes and drawers, above paneled sides and a rectangular desk top with a central frieze drawer, flanked by pull-out writing slides over a pair of pedestals with stacked drawers and outset, columnar corners, all rising on a molded base. The desk is accompanied by a carved name plaque reading ‘Martin A. Mell’, a woven wastebasket, and a drawer key.
