Vintage Renaissance Style Walnut Sideboard

A vintage Renaissance style sideboard comprised of walnut with ornately carved details throughout. This beautiful sideboard features a very large rectangular top with an egg and dart style pattern around the perimeter. On the front of the cabinet there are two small drawers, side by side, along the top with a single larger drawer underneath each, which are carved with reeded designs on the smaller drawers and a rectangular floral design on the larger drawers that are surrounded by a stepped diamond design. This entire sideboard is supported by three carved legs in the front, that are comprised of large acorn style figures and round, reeded ends, and three straight legs along the back with a stretcher around three sides.

This piece was purchased from the American cartoonist, Jim Borgman, by the current homeowners, .who also happen to be good friends with him. Jim Borgman is a well-known political cartoonist who is a native to the Cincinnati area.

Condition

- Minor nicks and scratches. Minor staining to interior of drawers especially. One large white mark on table top.
