1940s Spratling Sterling and Amethyst Cuff Bracelet

A 1940s Spratling sterling and amethyst cuff bracelet This notable piece was made in the 1940s in Taxco, Mexico. It features a rounded Art Deco form, with an unusual design of two hands to center that is more reminiscent of Victorian themes, each holding an amethyst tulip flower head. Two additional round amethyst stones accent the cuff, and a thin safety chain is present. Stamped to underside with the ‘WS’ brand logo encircled by the words ‘Spratling Made in Mexico.’ Also stamped in oval ‘Spratling Silver.’ Weight including stones is approximately 3.06 ozt. Condition

- base of one “tulip” appears to be glued and has some small internal cracks; base of other “tulip” shows a gap filled with what is probably glue and exhibits some small chips.
