A collection of four still life and landscape paintings. The largest piece, an oil on canvas, features a bouquet of yellow daffodils. This piece is titled and signed ‘F. Gitto’ to the verso. Secondly, there is a painting depicting a house by a lake. This oil on board painting is signed on verso ‘George Giotto Sr.’ An unsigned piece, oil on board, depicts a cow drinking from a meandering stream. Lastly, a oil on board landscape depicts a small house set against a mountainous background. This piece is signed, appearing to read ‘J. S. Hills. 1920.’ All are ready to hang.
Condition
- board on smallest piece is warped; some chipping of frames; some tearing to paper on backs of frames.
