Item Details
An excellent and important mid 1800s ambrotype of Kaiser Frederick III. The frame is made from leather and the matting is made from a very thin engraved metal in a copper tone. The photograph portrays the Kaiser, decorated with many awards sitting in a chair holding a formal helmet with plumes.
Condition
- leather around photo frame is starting to have some red rot.
