A hand-carved Indonesian Topeng mask wall hanging depicting a barong character. A wooden mask painted in yellow with red and black and accents. It is carved with fanged teeth and applied wooden ears. The back is painted in gray ready to hang with picture wire. Topeng is a form of masked theater performed in Indonesia, and Bali in particular. The barong a lion-like beast and leader of good spirits, is a figure important to the mythology of Bali.
