Antique "Kenton Cooler" Three Gallon Salt Glaze Stoneware Crock
Item Details
An antique Kenton Cooler three gallon salt glaze stoneware crock. The cooler features a barrel form with embossed coggled banding and cobalt blue lettering, with pin striped accents. The front base has a molded bunghole which is fitted with a metal turn key spigot. The cooler is unmarked by maker but attributed to the Wingender Pottery of Haddonfield, New Jersey.
Condition
- to fair, there are multiple small hairline stress cracks to exterior rim. There are chips to lid edge and inside lid rim. Unknown if lid is original to base but appears to be a good fit. The spigot is “frozen” shut, not operational.
