A Carlton desk, having an upper curved gallery with six narrow drawers, flanking a paterae inlaid prospect door and two end cabinets, which feature hinged boxed cabinets with curved, sloping lids. All surrounding a writing surface, over a center pencil drawer, flanked by a file drawer and two drawers, each with cross-banded borders. The case rests on tapered square legs with brass cup feet.
