1939 World's Fair Dutch Hinged Metal Box With Windmill Design

An interesting and charming 1939 World’s Fair Dutch made metal hinged box. The box was made in Holland and features a Dutch port scene on its top lid. The bottom of this enduring box reads ‘New York World’s Fair Made In Holland 1939.’ There is also writing on the side that reads ’Heineken’s on the Zuiderzee.’ The box is still functional, with working hinge, and exhibits appropriate age wear. This village was built, in New York for the 1939 World’s Fair, to look like Holland. The village had resturants and a bandstand. Heineken Beer was sold at these venues.
