Late Qing Dynasty Court Robe with Dragons
Item Details
A late Qing dynasty (1644–1911) Chinese silk court robe that is likely from the late 19th or early 20th century. This handsewn robe is predominantly red in color with embroidered five-clawed dragons and blue ruyi-style clouds. Striped lishu motif decorates the lower hem below undulating wave patterns. The robe has a yellow silk interior and fastens with a toggle style buttons along the side.
Condition
There is a rip in the side. Would benefit from cleaning. The robe has a musty odor.

Measurement is for the robe folded. The robe measures 81" across the arms. The chest measures approximately chest 56".
