An original gouache on paper by Native American Artist Robert Redbird of The Kiowa Tribe. The artwork depicts a Southern Plains Kiowa Indian woman wrapped in a blanket with a clay vessel by her side. Signed on the bottom right corner by Artist Robert Redbird with his signature trademark Kiowa with a feather. Robert Redbird (July 22, 1939 – March 5, 2016) was a member of The Kiowa Tribe. He was known for his Native American depictions of spirituality, Kiowa life and for his depictions of blanket wrapped Southern Plains Native Americans. The painting is housed under glass with double mat in beige and trimmed in burgundy with a wood frame stained in a walnut finish and accented in blue with paper to back and hanging wire. The Oklahoma governor Brad Henry declared June 7, 2003 as ‘Robert Redbird Day’. He recently past away on March 5th of this year.

Condition
- Some wear to the frame, and the artwork has moved from it’s original placement in the frame. May need to be opened in the back and readjusted in the frame.
