The front includes two side drawers, two side single cabinet style doors that have cathedral trim to the fronts, and four wider central drawers. The figured mahogany includes matched flame grain panels. Features include original patinated solid brass pulls and hardware, solid oak dovetailed drawer sides, and a single shelf behind each side door. The piece is signed to the interior of the top middle drawer with the burned-in Drexel insignia that forever marks this piece as quality furniture. Drexel Furniture, one of the many fine North Carolina-based furniture makers of the 20th century, was established in 1903. This wonderful sideboard buffet dates between the 1930s and 1950s.
