Vintage Duncan Phyfe-Style Dining Table with Six Roseback Chairs

A mid-1900’s Duncan Phyfe-style dining table and six rose back chairs are mahogany. The rectangular table features rounded beveled corners and sits on a double pedestal base each with three reeded patterned legs to brass feet. The table comes with protective pads and two 12’ leaves making the table 90’ total. The six chairs consists of one captain’s chair and five side chairs. Each of the five side chairs feature a carved rose (thus, rose back) to the center of the cross rail, a double bow curved lower rail, gently curving stiles that flow to become the chair seat frame, a bowed apron, and elegantly curved saber legs. The captain’s chair also includes beautifully curved arms with a turned under hand res and ‘C’ arm supports. All of the chairs are upholstered in a pastel striped material in cream, peach, seafoam green, light blue, and burgundy with a floral cream pattern overall.

Condition

Scratches, some finish loss to base. Loss of finish and nicks to the chairs. Please view photos.

The measurements are for the table without two 12" leaves. Each of the five chairs measure approximately 34″ high, 18″ wide, 21″ deep, and 18.5″ seat height.
