An autographed poster featuring the 1976 Cincinnati Reds Big Red Machine baseball team, which is signed by eight players and the manager. This print is autographed (from left to right) by George Foster #15, Tony Perez #24, Johnny Bench #5, Joe Morgan #8, Sparky Anderson (manager), Dave Concepcion #13, Cesar Geronimo #20, Ken Griffey Sr. #30, and Pete Rose #14. The print depicts a colored illustration of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team featuring nine men in white and red uniforms who are each holding a wooden bat while standing shoulder to shoulder on a baseball field. The print is signed by the artist with what appears to read, ‘Giles’ in the lower right margin, while each player’s autograph is signed in black marker below the torso of their individual portrait. This piece is double matted in black and red with a gold toned plaque underneath the photo that is inscribed, ‘1976 Cincinnati Red The Big Red Machine’, which is all displayed behind glass in a simple, yet elegant black frame. There is a wire for hanging to the verso. The framed photo also includes nine different tickets for the Big Red Machine Reunion hosted by CEI Sports at the Cincinnati Convention Center on November 23 and 24 in 1996.
The 1976 Cincinnati Reds major league baseball team, also known as, The Big Red Machine, was a dangerous combination of extremely talented athletes who broke records, won over fans, and also managed to capture their second World Series title in just two years. The Big Red Machine dominated the National League from 1970 to 1979 and had a whopping 953 wins.
