Royal Doulton Professional Series 'The Squire" Bone China Plate

A Royal Doulton professional series The Squire bone China plate. This decorative plate was part of the Professional Series in the 1940s. Colored in rich green, red and yellows on a cream background with a decorative band to adorn the plate rim. The reverse has the Royal Doulton logo and dates it between 1940 and 1948. The front shows an elegant man in a powdered wig with a small chalice and smiling. Under the portrait the plate reads ‘The Squire.’ The rim shows images of learning and items of knowledge, books, beakers, bowls, and more.
