A vintage rosewood finish jewelry box manufactured by George Zee & Co in Hong Kong. It features a carved Shou character, Chinese for happiness, to the lid with carved panels. The front boasts a bass tone latch with engraved floral accents; there are holes for a padlock, but no locks are included. The interior is lined with red silk fabric embroidered with gold flowers and motifs. There are two rows for cushions for rings and one open storage for more jewelry. To the underside, there is a plaque reading ‘George Zee & Co. LTd. Z-28944 Made in Hong Kong’.
