1930's Roo's Cedar Chest

A 1930’s Roo’s cedar chest. This genuine Tennessee aromatic red cedar chest from the Ed Roos Company of Forest Park Illinois features a rectangular beaded edge lid with brass chains and hinges opening to reveal a cedar lined storage compartment with a brass skeleton key lock (key not present). This chest is adorned with carved appliques and an urn shaped art noveau style carving to it’s front, turned feet, and it’s original paper label.

Condition

- stains to top, nicks, dings and scratches consistent with age, one hinge slightly loose
