Pair of Vintage Auguste Moreau Figural Lamps
Item Details
A pair of vintage Auguste Moreau figural table lamps. Each has a paneled drum shade with sequined ribbon edging. One lamp features a woman modeled in 18th century peasant dress carrying a sheaf of wheat in her apron. The other depicts a man of the same era sowing seeds. Both lamps are marked ‘Auguste Moreau’ to ground under the figures’ feet; one has an impressed seal that says ‘made in USA’ and the other (man) has a seal that says ‘made in France.’ Lamps rest on circular bases painted with an antiqued finish as are the figures, in delicate pastel colors.
