Antique Hand-Cranked Butter Churn

Item Details

An early 20th century antique hand-cranked butter churn. The body of the piece is in oak, and it features a crank with interlocking gears which drive an internal shaft using wood paddles with holes in them, which churn the cream. The hand-crank was working at the time of cataloging.

Condition

- working, normal wear due to age, one paddle broken and repaired.
