A large handmade Indo-Bidjar wool area rug, having a bright green, madder red, ruby, garnet, peach, hunter green and black palette, featuring a dense field of herati and lancet leaf motifs. The pattern is repeated in contrasting crimson spandrels. it has a complex, compound border with a large turle design to the principal border, in complementary colors on a contrasting white field, with a series of floral guard borders. It has a dense, natural wool warp fringe to either end. Tagged to reverse.
