John A. Ruthven Signed Limited Edition Print "Snowy Owls"

A signed limited edition offset lithograph after the original watercolor by well-listed American wildlife artist, John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1924 -), titled Snowy Owls (Nyctea scandiaca). The image depicts a family of owls, the mother standing in front of her three sweet babies piling on top of one another, as they all look on watchfully at something beyond the pictorial space. Artist signature is printed in plate and hand-signed in pencil to the lower left. The print is numbered in pencil 1067 in an edition of 1500 to the lower right, mounted behind white and brown double mat, under glass, in a narrow wood frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso. A Closson’s Gallery sticker of Cincinnati, Ohio is attached to the verso, as well as original label for print, identifying plate, series, title, artist and edition number.
