An antique 1890s French Ivory vanity set and box. The set contains a mirror, comb, nail file, zipper pull, shoe horn, and other tools. A French ivory storage box with embossed floral motif, lined in satin, with a patinated brass hinge, is also included. There are dates stamped to the bottom of the box: Patented Oct. 11, 92. Dec. 27th, 92. Sept. 19th, ’98. French ivory is a mixture of ivory colored powder and celluloid plastic.
