An oil on canvas painted by J.M Thompson after Johannes Bochmann. The picture depicts a green valley with pine trees and a small spring of water in front of the rocky glaciated peaks of the Alps. The image is signed on the lower right corner. It is held in an ornate gold toned frame. A German label on the back states the original painter of the work to be Johannes Bochmann, a possible title is written in pencil on the canvas but is partially covered by another tag.

- paint is starting to buckle, back of the painting has a large stain
