An original 1943 charcoal drawing on paper by well-listed Pennsylvanian landscape artist Joseph Plavcan (1908 – 1981). The drawing depicts a quaint church building and a small cemetery nestled beneath a small grove of tall, bushy trees. The drawing is completed in quick, loose line work with simple forms and shading. It is signed and dated in ink to the lower right. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with cast surface embellishments and silver tone finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
